The New Year is upon us

–and we are upon it in prayer and fasting!

From January 1-21, do you want to join us, CPIs (Certified PraiseMoves Instructors), and countless thousands all over the world? Those who have done a fast with us before know what a powerful experience it is.

There are several options for fasting (and we’re talking about fasting from food or certain types of food).

Some Fasting Options — Choose One of the following:

1. Daniel Fast – abstaining from certain types of foods (eating mostly vegetables,
fruit, and drinking water) – based on Daniel 10:2-3 “In those days, I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth.”

2. Fasting one meal and praying instead during that meal time.

3. Fasting until 3:00 PM every day – Jews call this a “half-fast.”

4. Fasting (abstaining from) a favorite food or beverage.

What Fasting is NOT

“Fasting” television, internet or certain activities we enjoy is more self-discipline, and not fasting in the Biblical sense. True fasting entails refraining from food in some form.

Tomorrow we’ll answer the question “Why 21 Days?” and learn what fasting will DO for you in your life, health, relationships, finances and spiritual walk. Bondages broken, miracles and more! It’s POWERFUL!!!

Until tomorrow!
with love, Laurette

Fasting Update: 2 days to start date January 1st!

Thank you everyone who’s written to say you will be fasting with us. Please share your experiences, prayers, praises & breakthroughs!

“Why 21 days?”

Jesus expects every one of us to fast. In Mark 2:20 He said, “Then shall they fast in those days.” In Matthew 6 Jesus says, “When you give,” “When you pray,” and “When you fast.” He didn’t say IF you give, pray or fast. Just as the Lord expects us to pray and give, He also expects us to fast.

“But it’s HARD to fast!!!” Yes, it is hard on the flesh to fast. But then, God never asks us to do anything that He will not help us accomplish (and do THROUGH us!)–and He wouldn’t ask you to do something that would not bless you in some way.

THIS may be the ANSWER to prayer you’ve been looking for! Step out in faith and just watch what God will do with that measure of faith and sacrifice for Him.

BEGINNING OF THE YEAR: This is the perfect time to fast — you are setting the course for your entire year. The breakthroughs you and your family experience next summer and fall you’ll be able to trace back to these 3 weeks!

WHY 21 DAYS? Some Bible scholars consider 21 to be the number of “holy perfection” since 3 is the number of the Trinity (The Father, Son and Holy Spirit – perfection and ultimate holiness). Threes are repeated often in Scripture (the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; faith, hope and love; a three-fold cord is not easily broken…). Seven is the number of perfection (7 days in a week, Israel marched around Jericho 7 times before the walls fell).
