A little bit about me...

Hi! I'm Dr. Laurette Willis, Director of PraiseMoves Fitness Ministry.

I'd like to share a little about myself. Perhaps after you see the video below, you'll understand WHY I'm so passionate about PraiseMoves.

I'm also passionate about faith & fitness, and supremely passionate and excited about getting the Word of God into people in unique and uncompromising ways – through Fitness, Meditation, Music (and every way we possibly can!).

After watching the video below, I hope you'll let me know a bit about you, too, in the Comments areaย below.

So, now that you know about me, I'd like to hear more about you. If you haven't already done so, please let me know in the comments box below what your ideal outcome is when it comes to health, or faith & fitness.

Don't feel pressure to write a whole bunch, I'd just like to know you a bit. ๐Ÿ™‚ ย  Thank you!

  1. I was wondering if you planned to make all your DVD’s available via iTunes, so they can be viewed on iPads etc

It would be wonderful to have them in this format so that I can take the exercises away with me when I travel!

    1. Hi, Kim – Yes, we will very soon have downloadable players where you don’t even need a connection to take PraiseMoves with you! I’ll be posting it in PraiseMoves the first week of September – glory to God! Thank you for your support, Kim!

  2. I received my PraiseMoves Gold DVD today, and I loved it. But an even better thing happened. My husband walked in and said he thought he could do the chair exercise. That is really a praise the Lord.

  3. Thank you for sharing. In many corners of the Christian world we have developed a negative attitude to the body becoming a bit soul or spirit heavy but suspect of the body that is a part of the being God has created. May your ministry bring this unity back into sync. It is time to rediscover that gestures are an integral part of life and worship. As a Christian brother living in community some gestures are almost unconscious…sitting at Jesus feet, standing for the proclamation of the Good News, bowing in reverence at the name of Jesus or at the Doxology (Praise to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit the one true God), raising hands or arms in prayer or consciously making the sign of the cross reminding ourselves who God is and who we are in Him. Do continue your good work in the Spirit. I admit that I need encouragement and movement to keep healthy and be of service to God and one another.

  4. Thank you so much Laurette. It is so encouraging to start Praisemoves . I am from India, am a retired Professor. I need to lose my weight. I hope I can surely make my workouts to be worship sessions. Something I was longing for. I have given up my yoga classes ever since a priest told me it is not compatible with Christianity. I am sure it is God our Father Who has led me to Praise moves. Praise the Lord.

  5. I have done some of your praise moves in the past. I have ordered the Praise move Gold. I am
doing a 3 time a week DVD called Faithfully Fit Forever, but wanted to improve my flexibility
so thought I would give this a try. I am seventy too, and indeed what to do the best I can to
stay fit. I love to dance to praise music. Blessing to you and yours Bev

  6. Thank you so much. It is really a joy to listen to you. I know you will be the encouragement needed at this point in my life. Thank you again &looking forward to Praise Moves……!

  7. My testimony is similar to yours in that I was an overeater as a young child (age 3 actually). I was overweight all of my teen years and then got in got into the “diet thing” in college. I tamed that ugly monster with diets for the next 15 years. I became a Christian and my old life no longer fit with my new life. I cried out to God one day in my kitchen and He spoke to me and gave me a godly eating plan. I too, know exactly what time it was. 1:30 in the afternoon. I was so excited to hear from God that I just began to praise Him in my kitchen. I felt so free!! I finally had the plan that would work for me and be pleasing to Him. I am now 65 years old and my friend and I were online this week looking for an alternative to Yoga and we found your website. My friend is a firm believer in the results of Yoga in her body so your ministry is perfect. I am having some back problems and so I am anxious to order your DVDs and get started. God bless you for being there when we needed you!!!

  8. Hello, I am from Oklahoma around the north central part. I am a mother of four wonderful sons ranging from the age of 27 to 14. I enjoy life now more than ever. But still have some problems with losing weight and the same as you, finding comfort in food rather than comfort in God Almighty. I am learning though. I was recently in a head on collision and the most wonderful thing happened, it was low impact and I came out of the accident with no scratches or bruises what so ever. I thank God for protecting me in that accident because it could have been so much worse. Thank God Almighty for his arm of protection. Great to talk to you. Looking forward to learning more and exercising for God’s glory. Praise the Lord. My goal is to lose an additional 60 lbs.

  9. Hello Laurette, my aunt told me she watches Praisemovs on TV. This is where I first learned about you. Well I have been married for little over 1yr. My husband and I met on Christian Mingle. I looked you up on the Website. I am really exited about ordering from your selection, just not sure what is right for me. I am 49, 30pounds over weight, I have Fibromyalgia, asthma. Can you help?!!! I have been trying to loose weight but just cant get it right. I am on medications for several health issues. 3 causes weight gain. Although I try to eat healthy and I do walk on my tredmill, not as I should, but I try. I have enjoyed reading, looking and listening to you. I JUST NEED HELP!!!!! Oh YES most Important I gave my LIFE TO JESUS Feb. 25th 2007, in prison after struggling with drugs for 13 years. Sad but true. I LOVE MY JESUS!!!! That’s enough for now, I get carried away. ThankS for listening. May you be BLESSED

    1. Thank you for sharing your heart, Angela – you may want to take a look at http://40DayFitnessChallenge.com – the book & DVD that go with this fun program we’re all doing – it’s great – and the accountability is super. It’s not too late to start – and we’d love to have you join us! ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Hi,

Just found this ministry. Have been searching and so excited to have found this one. I went to a Christian martial arts but that was too much for me. I wanted to do yoga, but was uncomfortable with the buddhist (?) background, really wanted something Christian based. So here I am. I would love to do the leader training so that I can pass this ministry on to others.

  11. Over the Christmas holidays, I was looking online for an alternative to Yoga and found Praise Moves. This week I received 20-Minute Praise Moves and Power Praise Moves. I plan to combine these workouts with walking and my mini-trampoline for Step Two. I will turn 60 in May and thankfully am not on any medications although I am overweight. I am going thru all the emails I have received from you since the end of December. Thank you for sharing your story and for your encouragement. God Bless!

  12. thank you for sharing. I love going to the Praise moves class in my community. I have always been active, but now as I get older I recognize the wisdom of strengthening and stretching. I need the scripture meditation also in my personal walk with The Lord, so I really appreciate having both together.

  13. Hi,

I have been diagnosed with fibro. I started doing gentle yoga at the YMCA. I prayed about it first. I was feeling better. My friend came back from a healing seminar. Telling me it was wrong. I had asked God before I went so, I just dismissed it as her personal conviction. A week t later the Lord woke me up and told me to stop. He said I was being deceived. I thought I felt better but not really. I argued with God, stating he had told me it was ok before. He said I needed to get moving but now to do it no more. I struggled to find another exercise class. Now I found Praise Moves. And I am excited. I am also hoping to loose weight. My friend is still struggling with giving it up completely. She goes back and forth with various pastors opinions. I think she will try praise moves with me. I know what God told me.
My ex husband is ordained in New Age, so I understand the dangers.
    Thank You.
    Trish Jiral

  14. I am coming from a yoga background too, and even after I quit yoga, I found myself missing it. My therapist found PraiseMoves and shared it with me. I bought my first DVDs last Thursday, and I am eagerly waiting their arrival. I have some health and fitness goals, but what I am really looking forward to is learning to glorify God with my body after years of abusing it with an eating disorder. I can’t wait to start!

  15. Thank you for sharing. I too am getting closer to the Lord, I want to know how to
exercise fitfully and faithfully and combine the two.

  16. blessing, am 51yrs old, from central islip long island new york. 17. Thank you for sharing I am looking forward to receiving my first Praise Moves DVD to work here at home and maybe together with my husband.
I need to be more flexible in stretching exercises to help with balance and with osteoprosis.

  18. Thank you for sharing with us. I’m looking forward to receiving my order so I can get started with your program. Praying the Lord will use this to improve me spiritually and physically.
Lord willing, in time this will be the start of a great ministry in our community.

  19. Thank you for all information about praisemoves as an alternative I can’t wait to put in my order for the 40 days challenge!

  20. hi Laurette, I bought your Praise moves DVD in South Africa, and enjoy it tremendously, very inspiring. Ialso used to do Yoga before. Is it possible to obtain more copies delivered in South Africa, also your other DVD material? regards

    1. Yes, absolutely, Anneke – we ship to South Africa. You can also check at your bookstore for PraiseMoves products from Harvest House Publishers and Destiny Image Publishers.

  21. Hi
Thank you for the work you do. I am looking forward to starting the 40 day challenge as I am wanting to improve my fitness and mobility within a Christian context. Having been raised as a Christian since being a child, I had the misfortune of taking yoga classes following several trips to India a few years ago. PraiseMoves is new to the UK and I don’t think there are many people using it here. We are very much a multi-cultural society in the UK, and I am interested to see how it works for me in the future.

God Bless Laurette, and once again thank you.

  22. Hi there, I’m from Ontario Canada. A few years ago I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue. The result of extreme dieting perhaps. I have done many excersice programs and they are either way too hard for me with tags fatigue syndrome or I didn’t appreciate the immodestly of the instructor. I have chronic sboulder, neck pain that I have to get laser done on to keep the pain away. I am also 20 lbs overweight and want help with that. I came across praise moves when I typed in on the web Christian excersice. So I am excited about this journey! Thank you for allowing yourself to be used by God!

  23. Feeling so blessed to have found your ministry! I used to do yoga and knew as a Christian it just wasn’t Godly but loved the stretches. Praise moves and the 40 day challenge, which I’m just starting, are so exciting for me! Thank you God bless you. Pam

  24. My name is Angela Lynn. I have known Christ since I was very young. I grew up in all kinds of sports including dance. I have never been that involved in yoga because the positioning made me feel very uncomfortable.

I have been married for 24.5 years – I’ve raised my boys still having one living at home and in college. I am a exercise science major with a nutrition background.

My major issue in my life was being an over eater. I once was well over 300 pounds and lost down to 150s and now up to 170s. I want to minister to women and let them know not only does God love them where they stand – but that through God they can have a healthy temple. They can find the strength to lose weight and accomplish anything else in their lives that is pleasing to God.

  25. Hi Laurette: Thank you for sharing about you. I use to see you on sky angel years ago. I’m a recent cancer survivor and have been making efforts to loose weight, exercise and start eating healthy w/whole foods. Dr’s strongly suggest yoga, obviously I don’t want to be involved so I’m delighted that I’ve found your website and will be ordering your dvd and looking forward to starting this new journey in praise moves. God bless you.

  26. Thank you Laurette!
I have noticed an increase in energy as I’ve been working out with your video. I’m looking forward to losing some weight too. What a joy to have the Word of God affirm my efforts and to see how God changes lives and uses His people to show His love for us.
Be strong in the Lord as you continue your ministry.

  27. Hi Laurette,
Thank you for sharing your amazing story. God has created beauty from ashes and its inspiring to see how God is using you to spread His Word. I am from S.C. and am looking forward to receiving the PraiseMoves video. I am 55 years of age and my husband and I have been called to full time ministry to the country of Honduras. We are faith-based missionaries and are currently in our deputation season. On our last trip to Honduras this past April, I injured my back. Once I was back in the states, I had several weeks of physical therapy. Even before our trip God had been speaking clearly to my husband and I about getting in better shape physically because He has work for us to do! (Lots of mountains to climb in Honduras)! We had started walking and eating healthier. This injury was just affirmation that I needed to do more to keep my body strengthened. God has also been speaking to me about developing a mentorship program with the Honduran women and young girls, teaching them God’s Word and what Christian mentorship looks like. I have been praying for ways to implement what God has been showing me and then I came across an article regarding PraiseMoves (the one regarding the truth about yoga). I knew this was an answer to my prayer. I am currently looking at CPR training and hopefully later training as a PraiseMoves Instructor. I know God will use this as a powerful ministry tool both here in the states and in Honduras as He continues to put the pieces together in preparation for the ministry.
By the way, do you have PriaseMoves in Spanish yet?

    1. Thank you, Marsha – we do have Certified PraiseMoves Instructors who teach in Spanish and several other languages, but no DVDs in other languages…yet. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  28. Thank you for honest from the heart sharing, I am really looking forward to getting to know you and starting using praise-moves as part of my daily worship routine. Thank you so much and god bless.

  29. I too did yoga with my mom as a little girl. I also took some yoga classes at a local dance studio where I was dancing, about four years ago. I didn’t stick with it (I thought it was a little “New Agey” for me (thank God). I knew that some Christians felt that yoga was “bad”, but I also knew others that did yoga. Personally, I did not know about it’s connection to Hiduism, and the poses being offering to the millions of Hindu gods and goddesses!!! Holy Spirit has confirmed now, TWICE, that I’m supposed to teach exercise classes, and when I read that the FOUNDATION of PraiseMoves was the Word of God, I knew that this was it!! God’s people perish for lack of knowledge, and I need to do my part to not only help people who need to exercise, but God’s people need to know the TRUTH…..so they can be SET FREE!!!

  30. I registered for yoga as an elective in college to reduce stress and help me lose weight and make a easy “A.” During the first chanting “OM”exercise I heard a small still voice ask me “what are you doing?” Well, in obedience to my God, I politely picked up my things and withdrew from the class. Enjoyed listening to your testimony, I feel God has lead me to teach PraiseMoves to share with others.

  31. Hi Laurette,
Great to meet you! I am living in Maine right now, possibly hoping to move to Florida. Love your passion for sharing the dangers of yoga and your idea of people being a fit witness. This is what excites me about what you do. Have been searching for awhile for myself on what God would have me do for a career that I am passionate about. So far I have been passionate about looking for a passion, ha ha. I love health and fitness and was straying down the road of the New Age movement. I have arthritis and yoga was recommended to me by my doc. Tried a class but didn’t like the Hindu underpinnings. I will be sharing your website with my friends on Facebook as I know some of them are Christians and have been taking some yoga classes. Thank you so much for what you go and am thankful God gave you the vision and the means to create such a vital way to share Him and His Word. Hugs, JoJenna

  32. At the age of 60, I so need to lose some weight and become more flexible… My joints have been aching so badly lately…I went to a yoga class about a week ago.. and just felt uncomfortable with what I was hearing…about meditating, sounding um ‘s , chanting what the instructor said, and just the whole thing made me feel weird… As a Christian, I realize the Holy Spirit in me did not like this atmosphere…It was like she wanted me hypnotized…. So I came home really disappointed and started researching… and found your site… and said YES, this is why I felt so uncomfortable… So I have ordered your DVD and look forward to the work out and the praise to our Lord while I do it..It is amazing how everyone just accepts yoga without knowing what it teaches… Now I know!!! Praise the Lord for showing me the truth. So glad and thank you so much for your testimony and committing your work to a Christian form of exercise similar to yoga but with a much better message!!!

  33. Hi Laurette,

Thank you so much for your testimony from Casa Grande, Arizona! I recently ordered your 40 Days Praise Moves dvd/book set and am anxiously awaiting it’s arrival. I found you on-line as I was searching for an alternative to yoga. I too have a very similar background to yours (add drugs) and have had a difficult time finding an acceptable exercise program to do. It seems that there’s either too much new-agey stuff or it’s too immodest and I just appreciate so much what I have found! I have recently been diagnosed with and auto-immune disease and am totally changing my lifestyle – the food, exercise, stress & spiritual walk, and Praise Moves looks like it’s going to help with ALL of that! Yay! Thanks again for the encouragement and a biblically founded way to move as we worship and praise our heavenly Father above.

  34. Laurette; I live in NW Arizona about an 1.5 hours from Las Vegas, NV., off the I-40 and route 66. I was saved in 1983 in a spiritfilled church as a young adult. I attended Assembly of God for over 10 years where I lived in WA. state. I moved around and my husband and I always look for a spirit filled / Charismatic Church to attend. We have been in many services with amazing outpourings of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit……..The Yoga story….I have been deeply involved in yoga off and on for about 8 years. To describe the “on” times where I practiced in a group is due the reason I found a Christian teacher. The “off” times I practiced at home. I have an athletic background and I found power / hot yoga challenged me to a new fitness level. I did go through a season in my life where I was over weight and out of shape. However, I always excersized. I was eating too much for too many years and slowly putting on about 10 lbs a decade. So I woke up in my mid 40’s to being 30 lbs. overweight. I felt terrible and I went on a weight loss journey, loosing 30 lbs. in a year. I lost another 10 lbs, after that. I admit it was vanity weight loss, but I did feel better getting back to 120, my teenaged weight.
Back to the yoga story; Chirst has set me FREE. “who the Son has set free is free indeed”. I was yoked, bound to a false gods, an idol worship. WOW ! I feel that I have been knocked off a horse on the way to Damaskis. I am radically saved by the blood of the lamb. The Lord is showing me visions; prophetic visions of demons that are so ugly and distorted that are enraged with anger. The statement you make that yoga is a the arm of hindu evalgelism. The holy spirit showed me a movie in my head of myself this past year. I was carrying flyers, business cards and “marketing” for the studio I used to attend. I am a sales person by profession. (Mercy God, thank you for resurrection power!) I remembered saying, “its like I am an evangelist for yoga, I have to tell everyone about it”…. Yes, there was a check in my spirit. Like you said I excused it with, “but it is so healthy”. The past 2 days after meeting with my pastor for prayer, finding you and spending time in worship and the word of God. I am radically saved all over again….REVIVAL! I never would of thought I would walk away cold turkey. I feel like a recovering drug addict, and I am. Now when I “stretch” I praise the Lord out loud. I am looking forward to ordering your materials. God has a plan for my life and is opening new doors. I am also passionate about fitness, wellness, health and I have a burden to help women loose weight. Yoga will NOT be included in that. WOW, I am a new creature in Christ. I will testify to anyone that has ears to hear, in church in a mall or walmart. I am considering your certification in PraiseMoves Laurette. Keep being a donkey for Jesus. Your ministry changed my life and I know it is the Lord in you, …. I want to thank you for saying “yes” to Jesus when He called you to minister to wounded ex-yogis like me. “Let the Redeemed of the Lord say SO”.

  35. What an amazing testimony. I’m Charity from North Carolina. I’m a college student preparing to graduate in May. I found praise moves while doing some research on yoga. I started doing pilates last year and I thought I wanted to begin yoga this year. Something in my spirit told me to research the appropriateness of guided meditation and yoga for Christians. I was startled by the information you provided about yoga poses being offerings to Hindu gods. I’m glad I found praise moves. My main activities when I first wake up are to talk to God and workout. Praise moves allows my to do both at the same time. You have an awesome ministry and anointing. Thank you for all the information and God bless you.

  36. Thanks for sharing this, Laurette. I love being able to get to know you better even if it’s only via videos. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m so excited to receive the PraiseMoves training soon, add it to my health coaching, and become a bold FitWitness for Jesus! XO

  37. I truly hope I can use the program . I can’t believe I am 84 years “young” … Go to Weight Watchers…but need to be more agile….move more! I have begun walking again but feel I need more. So I found you :-). I live in Indianapolis, after spending 25 years in S Calif..quite a change bur I love it.i am excited about Praise Moves and cannot wait to get the material, hoping to tone unused muscles ๐Ÿ™‚

  38. When I was 29 years old, when I came to America. I feel so exhausted & depressed with the new environment. I taught going Dahn Yoga will give me a solution like energy & the enlightenment that its offering. I spend so much money looking for solution on my emotional issue. I become a christian on 2008, I found its not the will of God to be involve in Yoga. I searched for christian fitness then I found Holy Yoga. I went through again the training. One early morning researching on the internet, I found Praise Moves, I inquired last year. That time, I just finished at Holy Yoga, all my exams practical, retreat & written. I have been following up to Holy Yoga with my certification it didn’t came out, no one is answering me. I started doubting myself, If Im called to the fitness ministry. Im praying to take out my desire to fitness. Still, Im here, after one year, I called Praise Moves & purchase the AM & PM Praise Moves. Then I decided to do it since them. I feel more connected to God. Im gaining spiritual connection, the peace, love & joy that I experiencing with my soul, body & spirit is priceless. To God be the glory. This is the journey. I want to do the rest of my life. Thank You Jesus.

  39. praise the Lord Sister Laurette, and thank you for sharing that amazing story, I guess we all have our addictions, I didnt realize I had one until God placed me in the fitness world some years back. I had a sweet addiction, I use to have a sit down job and for my fix I would go through about 4 Snickers and a Coke to wash it down, when I was younger like about 6 or 8 back in the day we use to have a candy store on the corner, and 1.00 would get us 100 pieces of candy, I would finish that whole entire back before I went to bed. The dentists office loved me needless to say. I did my first bodybuilding back in 1999 and that’s when I realized I had a sweet addiction, when I had to drastically change my diet and start eliminating things like my SWEETS! I actually went through a withdrawal, and it was hard for me to focus on what I was preparing for, but after months of dieting and by the Grace of God that addition, had been broken. i noticed clearer skin, healthier weight, etc…. now dont get me wrong I haven’t competed in years but I have defiantly changed my eating habits up, I had to look at my family, high risk of diabetes, heart disease, obesity, bad eye vision, high BP, yes my family, and I did not what any of these things so I had to shape up, and until this day I still try to eat as clean as I possibly can, spreading the importance to my clients that getting in shape should be a lifestyle change not a temporary fix, some get it, some does not want to make that sacrifice but I dont give up on them. well sorry didn’t mean to write a book just wanted to share that lol.

    God bless

  40. Laurette – Thanks for sharing! I live in Lovettsville, VA. I’m 65 years young but my body looks and behaves older than I feel. I have very little flexibility, moderate strength, and I’m gaining weight especially in my midsection. I used to have a fairly defined waist, but not now! I have always been active, playing tennis the past 6 years (love tennis). I walk my dog and walk with my husband. I just got into clogging (it’s big here at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains) – I love it because I love moving to music and the clogging folks are believers in Christ so the environment is good and healthy. I am doing yoga right now but it disturbs me (because of the self worship – the Bible says there is nothing good in me). I will check out the nearest Praise Moves class and go! I hope to gain flexibility and strength and to lose inches in my midsection. My niece in Oregon told me about your program and she is working to become an instructor. Well, that’s it. Thanks for what you do and God Bless you,

  41. Laurette! We have a lot of common – I too struggle with eating for comfort. I think God wants me to become an exercise instructor to get the complete victory over unhealthy overeating!
I’m looking into aerobic certification with a networking ability to offer it to churches and Messianic assemblies. Shalom!

  42. I have battled with weight and overeating all my life. I have snuck food and hidden it. I was then diagnosed as being pre diabetic. That scared me, a lot. I then was able to lose over 30 pounds. Now I find them starting to pile back on. I’m already in my 40s and I’m definitely feeling the extra weight. I’ve always been interested in yoga moves but uncomfortable with the concepts behind them. So i started looking for some kind of Christian alternative,. Now, here i am long at this.

  43. Hi, I live on Ibiza, a Spanish island in the Mediterranean, often referred to as the “Music Capital” of the world…..with the top DJยดs and the largest clubs. It is an alternative island where anything goes, especially foreign religions & Yoga retreats.
I did Yoga for years until I became a committed Christian and understood that the movements were worship movements to Hindu Gods.
I think that Praise Moves can be an alternative to Yoga and seems like a great, healthy joice. I enjoyed wathching your above video and believe you have a real love for the Lord & desire to spread the good news thru Praise Moves. However, I am still concerned about the actual Yoga positions that have remained in your excerises. I have a prayer partner in India who told me that no Christian would do a Yoga position exercise, even while meditating on Jesus. Pilates has been proven a great alternative to Yoga for stretch & strength. However, Praise Moves will attract Yoga students more and can become a stepping stone alternative towards Jesus. It would be great if your goal would be to modify the Yoga movements to resemble more pilate movements that are medically proven to be benificial without using Hindu worship moves. My prayers are with you.
    Godยดs blessings,

  44. I’m looking for sequences for stretching that are NOT yoga! To share with so many who keep turning to yoga. And how beautiful to have scripture to go along with it and set free others from yoga condemnation.

  45. Hi. I am a 67 year old white, Christian male who is also in recovery. I retired two years ago. I have Doctorate in Education and worked in govt and education for 35 years. I am 5’9″..150lbs. I was athletic as a young man and have sustained many injuries as a result of that and car accidents (broken neck + collapsed discs, and broken sacroiliac and L4&L5 injured). I have to take way too many meds for cholesterol, acid reflux and anxiety (since I retired) and my back and hands ( Bone on bone in both thumbs). I go to AA every day and 3-4 Bible studies a week and work w many men who have addiction and recovery issues–some Christian, some not. My last two years have been the toughest of my life–I was totally broken. Now, I need to proclaim my identity in Christ in as many ways as possible, i.e., food, exercise and more of God’s Word. This sounds like it will do all of that and more than we can ask or imagine. Thank you and Thank God for your ministry.

I need more of God’s Spirit and His healing for my body and mind. I have been given so much and God has been good to me–I am surrounded by many faith filled brothers and sisters. But I need and want so much more–especially deliverance from anxiety attacks that started 6 mos after I retired ( I didn’t sleep for 6 months and lost 25 lbs). It was God’s wake-up call for my life. I was hard hearted and proud. My wife and I want to do things radically different than our current diet, exercise and much more. I sense God’s power in your ministry. Please pray for me. I am better and growing stronger. I want to be of use again and at peace. I believe God’s Word and being in it but I need help.

  46. my name is Tamisha (aka) Misha and I learned about praisesmoves from a friend and am excited to get started. I was diagnosed with hypertension after having my 2nd baby. I’m looking to reverse it by changing my eating habits and through excersie. My husband and I are committed to the 40 day challenge. I Believe praisemoves is a God sent. I Also ask for prayer in this area.

    Thank you
    Mike & Misha

  47. Thank you so much for Praise Moves. I am looking forward to the online training in May, 2016. I thank God that I found your ministry after spending lots of time and money last year in being certified to teach yoga. After being in a pit of depression and praying for discernment as to why I could not teach yoga. He directed me to you. My church is ready for a fitness ministry and I am so excited about becoming certified through Praise Moves. Glory to God!

  48. I found Praisemoves by “Google”-ing alternatives to ‘yoga’. I am looking forward to working through the program and becoming a CPMI so that I can share what I’ve learned to anyone who wants to learn how to combine scripture & fitness.

  49. Hi Laurette,

THANK YOU SO MUCH for following God’s call on your life to start PraiseMoves!

I was a primary school teacher and a Zumba instructor, am currently studying translation Spanish-English, and was diagnosed earlier this year with advanced adrenal fatigue (burn out). My goal through PraiseMoves is to become stronger, more flexible and more (calmly) energetic so I can follow the Lord’s calling on my life to serve Him through music and dance.

    You are blessed!

  50. Thank you Laurette for this ministry. I used to do yoga before becoming a Christian 5 years ago. I live in Spain and the new age movement is strong here, just like in the States. I miss the exercise part of it and lately I’ve been considering going back to it, but my pastor said I shouldn’t. That’s when I came across your website and you definitely cleared things up for me. Thank you so much. I agree with you 100% because I experienced it. Although I was in it for the exercise, I ended up getting into a lot of new age literature. I realize now what was happening. Thanks for the info, the exercise videos and all your efforts. God bless you.

  51. Hi my name is Rose, I would like AM /PM praise moves to help me become more flexible and loose 10 pounds. I am not able to do intense work outs because of my hip and back. But I can’t wait to get my DVD of Praise moves to start gentle stretching exercises.

  52. I am about to retire, and have battled weight, lose and gain. I believe I was sent to your site, because I use to do Worship Dance, and as I became heavier I lost the ease of movement, becoming stiff and not limber. I believe this is for me, I am into the Hebrew language, and I can see this incorporated into my worship and to the betterment of my health.

  53. Thanks so much for sharing! ๐Ÿ™‚ I love to hear how the Lord has changed peoples lives. He is an awesome God and Father.

I am 46 and live in PA. I was at home looking for my copy of Leslie Sansone’s “Walk the Walk” that I had. I couldn’t do it years ago when I bought it, but wanted to be serious about getting my body in better shape. Since I didn’t find it, I looked on the net for Christian exercise videos and found this site. I was so glad to see a yoga alternative. I have Wii fit which has some yoga and I already didn’t agree with the sun salutation move and had turned that one into a praise move. I knew yoga was related to some form of eastern religion, but it I couldn’t do the more active exercise stuff yet and thought there had to be something better- and I found it ๐Ÿ™‚

At 46, I still have promises of God that I am waiting for and a calling to minister to children. As a spirit that has a soul and lives in a body- I need to get the 3 better aligned to fulfill my calling. I am waiting for the 40 day program to arrive and am excited to see what the Lord will do in my life with it ๐Ÿ™‚

  54. I would like to get off my butt and move my body and what better way than to do it with scripture! I too used to practice yoga three times a week and loved it. When I started looking into becoming an instructor I was really disappointed at how much of the instruction is devoted to learning about the religious foundation. It all clicked for me right there and I was immediately in search of something exactly like this. I am so excited to bring this “alternative” concept to every church and person who loves to do relaxing stretch poses, while devotion their mind to the word of God. I launched a Christian based health coaching business this past summer and I think this will be a great complement. I am also watching your Christian mediation videos and am really excited to check out your kick boxing and classes for the elderly too!
This is a great thing; I love it! ๐Ÿ™‚

  55. Hi Laurette! The love of Jesus just flows through you. I am so happy and excited that you have started this great ministry, and it includes fitness! I live in Battle Creek MI with my family but I was born and raised in Queens NY. My mother and I also started doing yoga together on and off. This started when I was 13 up until this year. I’m 31 now and just like you we thought it was just exercise. Sure it was New Age, but we were strong Christians and we could just ignore the Hindu phrases. … Right? Wrong! I had such bad anxiety as a teenager, even up to my late 20’s, and I’ve had A-typical migraines in result of the anxiety. After a yoga session my muscles felt good, but then I felt heavy burdened. I didn’t realize that I was going through strong spiritual warfare. I do have a passion for fitness and health and I love the Lord. Though it has taken me years to realize that God wants a relationship with our whole selves. Not just spiritually. One of my last yoga sessions earlier this year, the instructor was talking about agape love after we did our relaxation/cool down. What she was talking about seemed innocent enough and warm, but then she compared Jesus to Buddha.(Whoa!) At that moment God took the blinds off and then I was able to see that this was not just exercise. I’ve shared your ministry with my Mom and she was so touched and blessed as well. She too had stopped doing yoga and she’s getting your 40 days to Fit and Fabulous for Christmas this year :D. I also feel that God is calling me to this ministry and I’m excited and praying on it. This is a beautiful way to share the word of God

  56. I turned 50 last February, I was diagnosed with COPD. I don’t smoke, nor have I been a smoker. My son is worshipping Pagan gods. He said I should do yoga to improve my breathing… No way. I knew it was not good and not in alignment with God’s Word. Instead I searched for an alternative to yoga and found Praisemoves. I immediately ordered the DVD. I started using it the end of March. I also started reading a book, Made to crave by Lysa Terkhurst. With these two things and a lot of prayer I have lost over 30 pounds, reduced pain in my neck and back, and greatly improved my breathing. I still have an occasional problem with breathing, but I don’t feel like I am struggling to breathe. Also, I was listening to the podcast about healing and I prayed with your guests speaker, my shoulder (that has hurt for years due to poor posture and working at a computer) was healed. My right arm started moving while I prayed along and God popped it into place. Praise the Lord.

  57. Hi! I’m from Hollywood, FL. I am looking for an alternative for yoga. I’ve head of praise moves but I have not found any classes near me. I was also thinking of signing up to be certified but I have not even been in a single class. It is an investment. I have reached out to CPI’s in Stuart, cape coral, and even in GA when I was on vacation there last year but I’ve never gotten a response. I would love to see it down here in south Florida. I would love to offer it. – Jennifer K.

    1. I really meant to ask: “Are there any classes here in South Florida where I can go that you know of?”. I cannot locate any. How do you recommend I proceed? I want to know more about Praise Moves, the work out, how people can do the not-poses if they are not familiar with doing yoga poses, etc. Do they stress this during the class as well as the memorization of the verse? I guess this isn’t really about me nor the proper forum. I apologize. – Again Jennifer K.

  58. Thank you so much for sharing what God has done for you! I have been active, fit and healthy all my life, but the past few years as menopause has really set in, I have gained 15 pounds and the shape of my body has really changed.

I’m still healthy, but would really like to boost my sluggish metabolism and regain strength and flexibility.

I’m also excited about a way to spend time and private worship with God that will grow my relationship with Him.

God bless you as you continue in this ministry that He has given you.

  59. Hi
I’m from all over (military spouse), currently stationed in Maryland. I have been looking for my purpose and I believe the Lord has sent me here. I’ve been conflicted with starting yoga because of my faith. I’m so pleased to have found this. I hope to spread the word about Praise moves, and make a career out of it as well.

  60. Hi Laurette,

My name is Annie. I am from Singapore or Canada. I live in these 2 countries. I am searching for alternate ways to yoga.

I like the yoga practice to certain extend. My conscience has been very clear that I still believe in God, the father, the son and the holy spirit.

I am here to find out more about PraiseMove and whether it is able to substitute my yoga practice.

    Btw, I am a Catholic.
