Day Fourteen: Fasting Update – Rewards for Fasting #7 – “Is this not the fast that I have chosen… Your healing shall spring forth speedily...” (Isaiah 58:6&8
Reward #7: Your health shall spring forth speedily.
It is the 2nd week of our fast. How are you doing? What is the Lord saying to you?
Fasting brings forth health “speedily.” Some may call that “miraculous.” Did you know that a miracle is simply the process of healing with the element of time compressed? Likewise, healing may be considered “a miracle over time.”
Keep on “Wenting”
We often have to “walk out” our healing, as the lepers did who received their healing in Luke 17. Jesus told them to show themselves to the priest. And they were healed “AS THEY WENT.” As they continued going forward, following what Jesus told them to do, they were healed. So, “keep on ‘wenting!'” I often tell people after I've prayed with them and they've received their healing by faith.
Notice the one man, a stranger, who came back and worshiped the Lord. This former leper was made “completely whole.” I like to think that the very ravages of leprosy (missing fingers and decayed pieces of his nose and ears) were completely restored and made every whit whole. Doesn't that sound like our Jesus to you?
RECEIVE your healing. Receive it by faith (the most powerful force in all the universe–the faith God has given you in His Word). Your healing has already been paid for by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. You may have an instantaneous manifestation of the healing you've received, or it may come over a process of time. Either way, it's all God and His precious will for you in action.
Look up healing scriptures in the Bible, meditate on them and speak them aloud. Take the Word of God personally for yourself. He watches over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12 and Isaiah 55:11). You may see our Healing Scriptures CD – or ask me to send you some healing scriptures and I will.
Do you need to receive healing? Let this be the day you do–whether you are fasting right now or not. “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses” (Matthew 8:17).
Then…keep on “wenting”!
