Day Sixteen: Fasting Update – Rewards for Fasting #9 – “Is this not the fast that I have chosen… Then you shall call and the LORD will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am” (Isaiah 58:6&9).
Reward #9: You shall call to the LORD and He will answer you — QUICKLY!
It is marvelous to have prayers answered. And you will find your prayers answered more quickly when you fast – as well as directly after you fast.
Have any of you found this to be true yet? This has happened to me even today. My friend Lisa and I were working on a computer problem (she's in New Jersey and I'm in northeastern Oklahoma). Specifically, she was looking for a lost file. We prayed, asking the Lord to help us (and binding the enemy from hiding it from us in the name of Jesus!).
At the same moment she said, “I wonder if it's…” — I immediately said “There it is!” Lisa suddenly said, “There it is!!! Wait. How did you know that?” Answered prayer!
What are you believing God for? Expect a quick reply when you are fasting. Your sensitivity to His voice and leading is heightened when you fast.
Call on the Lord and He will say, “Here I am!” Thank You, Lord!
