“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6).
Oh, how we belittle and nullify the POWER of GIVING THANKS when we call the Thanksgiving Holiday merely “Turkey Day.” ?
In the scripture above from Philippians, what does the Power of Thanksgiving after prayer and supplication indicate? I see RECEIVING by Faith.
We are free from worry and being anxious when we pray and humbly ask our Heavenly Father for what He promises us in His Word — and then Give Him Thanks that we have Received it.
HOW to RECEIVE by FAITH
Jesus said, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:24).
You can receive by faith into your spirit that which you do not yet see. If it is in God's Word, you can have it!
How do you receive? Just BELIEVE what God said in His Word is TRUE. That's all. I like to say it's as easy as falling back on a pillow. Just believe the LORD.
It's impossible for Him to lie! Remember, He is the CREATOR. If He said, “The sky is pink with purple polka-dots,” guess what? It WOULD be pink with purple polka-dots because He is the CREATOR, not a liar!

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise” (Ps. 100:4).
What are the TOP 3 THINGS you can thank God for right now?

Usually after a few “Thank You's” I start laughing with joy and crying in the spirit with a
“joy unspeakable and full of glory” (1 Peter 1:8).
I sense His blessed presence, His glory… This quickly leads to Praising Him.
How do you praise the Lord?
Just SAY it. “I praise You, Lord. You are wonderful! You are so good! You are perfect and worthy of all praise. There is no one like You.”
This leads to Worship – you lose yourself in loving the Lord. Sometimes I go back and forth among the three – thanksgiving to praise to worship to thanksgiving to worship to praise… It becomes one glorious circle of splendor, laughter, and tears of joy in His presence.

Thoughts ARE things. Toxic thoughts are like “black trees” in the brain (they can even be seen!).
Thanksgiving, praise and worship help dissolve toxic thoughts in the brain.
Worshipers have “Better Brains”!!!
Scientists have found that the brains of worshipers and those who meditate on God's Word have more highly developed frontal lobes.
So, this Thanksgiving — and EVERY day! — do more than give mere lip-service to the words, “Thank You.” Become wholeheartedly involved with the Giving of Thanks to the Lord for the blessings you DO have as well as for those things you have prayed for (and received by faith).
Just watch how quickly the manifestation of what you are believing the Lord for comes into view for you!!!
Invest time with the Lord today in HAPPY THANKSGIVING ~~ in happy, joyous giving of thanks to Him for Who He is to you and your family. Giving Him thanks for All He has done for you.
O, glorious day! He is faithful and true ~~ and He loves YOU so very, very much!!!
