Here are two videos of Laurette doing several postures. This is an abbreviated set of the postures giving the Scripture reference only for each posture (1: Mt. Zion, Reed, Eagle, Angel, and Rainbow; 2: Tallit, Star, Vine, Shalom, and Shepherd's Stance). For a more complete explanation of each posture with corresponding scripture, please see the CPI Training Manual and the PraiseMoves DVD.

****FINAL EXAM INFO****
CPI Trainees:
YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO KNOW THIS:Β
REMEMBER: Your WWW 2-minute video is due between NOW and FEBRUARY 20.
Your 5-postures Video MUST be submitted during the week of FEBRUARY 19.
Do not wait until the last minute. You will need to have or borrow: a video camera (video camcorder, webcam, or smartphone that takes videos), and one person to teach (an adult family member or friend).
Realize you may be asked to re-do your 5-postures video, so the earlier you get it in, the better.
If you want to do your 5-postures video LIVE via Zoom with one of our CPI Trainers, contact NolaJeanne Baird and she will arrange a time and date with you.
See how NolaJeanne teaches the postures in the videos and you will do excellently well!
Your Video will include:
1. Start with Prayer.
***Music question? You may use Christian music with words for WWW – but ONLY instrumental Christian music or classical (not New Age, of course!) for Postures. We want people to FOCUS on the Word and your instruction. You will receive PraiseMoves Class Music CD#1 with your Certificate.
b. Video record yourself teaching ONE student the following five PraiseMoves postures: The Angel, The Reed, The Eagle, The Rainbow, and The Prayer Shawl.
a) We need to be able to see you and your students. The best way to do this we have found is to situate yourself, the student, and the camera in a V-shape.Β Your video camera is at the Point of the V. Your student and you are the endpoints of the V, facing one another, but angled slightly toward the camera so we can see BOTH of your faces. See the demo photo below.
*** IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW the example of how the CPI and her student are positioned, you may have to redo your Postures video.
In the Photo: Notice how the CPI Trainee on the left and student on the right are angledΒ in such a way that they can be clearly seen by each other AND the camera (us). Notice the angle of their mats.
b) Be sure to watch your students.
c) Walk among them a time or two to cue them and correct their form WITHOUT touching them. You can model the correct form for them instead.
d) Be sure to SAY the corresponding Scripture and invite your students to REPEAT the scripture after you.
–Practice the 5 PraiseMoves postures AND WHAT YOU SAY for your upcoming video.
βΒ What do you say? Guide your students into a posture, breathing, Scripture (invite them to repeat after you; add an element of praise in line with the video above, such as βWe thank You, Lord, that Your Word saysβ¦*scripture*β¦β
β Donβt be robotic here β be yourself! Youβre thankful for Godβs Word alreadyβjust let some of your thankfulness show. Your students will pick up on your genuineness and it will bless them, letting them know they can enter into praise easily.
We call this the “Higher Dimension of Praise.” Keep it simple and it will flow easily for you.
βYou are a Leader and a Minister of the Gospel. Your students will follow you. We are βnot ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for every who believesβ (Romans 1:16).
WATCHING HOW NOLAJEANNE TEACHES WILL BE INVALUABLE FOR YOU. She is one of the very best, and her students love her. See the links below for NJ videos.
βMention benefits (I like doing this toward the beginning βThis posture is great forβ¦β). Mention contraindications when guiding into a posture (βIf your neck is sensitive, look straight ahead instead of upβ).
— Incorporate the revelation regarding praise from the video in the last session about the revelation from Galatians 3:5 and Jeremiah 33:11 (“I thank You, Lord, that Your Word says…” or “We praise You, Father that…” and then follow with the Scripture). This does not have to be done for each and every posture (let the Holy Spirit guide you). Invite students to repeat after you.
We DO ask you to do the Higher Dimension of Praise for each of the five postures you do ON YOUR VIDEO, but in your class, you wouldn't necessarily do so each time. In class, you will let the Holy Spirit guide you. Praising the Lord for and in His Word will become second nature to you.
Push through your comfort zone and past the fear of doing something new and “un-COMFORT-able” – lean on the Comforter, and be willing to *feel* foolish. It looks good on us, no matter how offended our pride, flesh, and minds may be (I speak from experience here). ?
Example from NolaJeanne Baird, Master CPI Trainer:
For example,Β For Mt.Zion, I now say:Β “Father, we thank You that Your Word says, ‘those who trust in the LordΒ are like Mt Zion which cannot be moved but abides forever. Ps 125:1.'”Β See how I prefaced the scripture with a statement of thanksgiving?
Another example for The Eagle,Β I now say:Β “Those who wait on the Lord, shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isa 40:31′ – thank You for Your strength and Your Word, Lord.”Β
Again, remember that you do not have to praise the Lord for every single one of His scriptures during a class. It will become more natural (or supernatural!) for you in time. We DO, however, want you to add the Higher Dimension of Praise to each of your postures on your 5-postures workout video.
Please Note: Upload your video via YouTube.com (a free service). Mark the video “UNLISTED.” DO NOT mark it “private” – we cannot open private videos. Send us a link to the video at nolajeannepm@gmail.com
2. Final Exam on Monday, FEBRUARY 27. You have 24 hours from the time it is sent to complete it. The exam itself MUST be submitted online NO LATER than Tuesday, FEBRUARY 28 (the next day) Tuesday afternoon (Central US time). It will be a multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, and written test that you will take online.
Remember your VIDEO MUST BE IN during the week of FEBRUARY 19 or you may not pass).
THE EARLIER YOU GET YOUR VIDEO IN, THE BETTER (in case you have to redo anything). We know you will do excellently well, in Jesus' name. Amen!

Dear Laurette,
Thank you for the posture videos. Very helpful to see them in “instruction mode”! I also loved Tina WWW! She is upbeat, moves flowing from one to another.
Wow! As I listen to you say so often, “I won’t let you fail, the Lord won’t let you fail,” I marvel at how different this is from the world’s attitude. How would our world be changed if we all treated each other with such grace?
God bless you!
Pat
Hi, Pat! You will want to make sure to include all scriptures with postures. This is just physical guidelines. Thank you for your encouragement too! Tina does a great job! Yea Jesus!
Wow, Tina J. You are a pro! Great job. And was that your hubby repeating Scripture after you in the background! Awesome. You will be an excellent CPI! I was ready to get up and march along with you. What enthusiasm!! God bless, MaryAnn
Pat. You will want to make sure to include all scriptures with postures. This is just physical guidelines. Thank you for your encouragement too! Tina does a great job! Yea Jesus!
Laurette, I so very much appreciated your exhortation in the Part 1. Thank you for being a beautiful vessel of the Lord!
Tina Jackson – GREAT JOB! You are cheerful, encouraging, and full of the Holy Spirit!
I am delighted to be certifying through PraiseMoves. This is an awesome training program. Thank you for all the wonderful comments on the WWW example. For 20 years I let fear hold me back from being an instructor–fear of people, fear of forgetting the routine, fear of messing up. I got certified as a group instructor twice (not PM) and let them expire, because of FEAR–False Evidence Appear Real. Then the Lord said one day, “It’s time. It’s time to get certified again.” (3rd time) I did and God opened doors that no man could open. So,… if fear is holding you back,… fear not. God did not give you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. π I am so glad to be learning PraiseMoves so I begin to exercise in a new way–spirit, soul and body. Thank you Laurette for obeying God and getting this program out to us. I KNOW it is the group fitness class I was designed to teach! Amen And praise be to God for all the CPI triainers… we are taking this land back for our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Good job Tina!
I can’t believe we are mid way.
Thanks for continually inspiring us Laurette. Thanks for showing more moves on an instructional mode. Finalizing which 5 postures to include for the video. Its the cuing that we have to master.
Can we still submit our www before the 27th or do we just submit the www and postures all together on the 27th.
I really am excited for all of us and I know God will give us wisdom through out our certification and we will surely do it. Looks very challenging but there is no problem if you have a Big God!!!
God bless us all.
You may submit the WWW 2-3 minute any time between now and the 27th — or with the postures (by the 27th) – whichever you prefer. Yes, cuing is our focus next class. The manual has lots of verbal cues from which to choose for each posture. Yes, we have a BIG God! He is able and faithful and YOU are loved!!! (:
I found Pat’s words really a style I can relate to! It is really great to see someone teaching in a way I can imagine myself doing! Thanks for believing in what God can do in us Laurette:)
Looking forward to being a part of the prayer community too!!
I agree with Evonne! I felt all the questions and answers were very helpful and encouraging. Also being able to watch the lessons over have been great. I’m feel blessed to be apart of this CPI training, and just love Laurette to pieces;-)
Thank you, Stephanie! I love you, too!!! We are so blessed to count such wonderful women and men of God in the PraiseMoves Fitness Ministry.
In another note, you mentioned about finding some postures more difficult than others. No need for frustration; your body is responding and adapting. Your balance will continually improve. You will look back a month from now, a year from now and be amazed! Hallelujah! It’s the Word in PraiseMoves that makes all the difference.
I must say, I do get a little discouraged as I am trying to improve on some of the postures. I find I’m still working on my balance with some postures, while others flow and feel very natural, and not forced.
Tina has a Kudu in her living room!
Some of us have kudzu in ours (especially in the southern US states!).
Laurette-
Thank you thank you thank you for all of the hard work you are putting into this!
Thanks a ton!
In Him,
Kelly
I found myself repeating the postures after Tina and giggled out loud when her husband spoke- reminded me of my husband! Loved that!
Love love love PraiseMoves and so glad I turned my back on yoga! I can teach exercise in an uncompromising way & lead people to our Good Shepard through the boldness of saying scriptures out loud. It seemed strange when I began but is second nature now.
Laurette, Thank YOU for listening to God & starting an alternative to yoga. I am so excited to see the ministry grow. I began teaching for the exercise but have come to understand how much bigger it is; I look more forward to feeding the students the scriptures than seeing their bodies grow strong through the postures!
Matthew 10:16, Jesus said, “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents & harmless as doves.” Love to all of you!
Thank you, Kelly and Annette. It does seem to be a process, Annette – for all of us – about what PraiseMoves is and is becoming, by the grace of God. I’m seeing us move into more intimacy with Him, leading and guiding our students in that. Much like the worship leader at a church enters in and goes on ahead of the congregation — I see it sort of like that.
We’ll be seeing these words in a whole new way in coming months and years: “Transform Your Workouts into Worship!”
Loved this session! It was filled with encouragement and I was just in awe and praise to our Father! I know I am not finding at much time to devote to my practices as I would love to do, yet I am encouraged that God will equip me because I truly believe that He has called me to this fabulous ministry! I will not give up, and I will not allow what joy I do have to be stolen! Excellent moving and praising with Tina!! Thank you, Laurette, for all the hard work and so grateful prayers!! Blessings!
I have been so very encouraged by the training. Laurette, you are simply fabulous! Thanks for obeying God to this calling, you are very blessed! The manual is very well laid out and contains so much invaluable information. I am feeling much more confident after doing the first few sessions. I definitely had fears going in, wondering how in the “world”,problem number one, could I possibly do this and be good at it. It’s through God’s abilities that we can do this, not by the world’s. Now, I am more than certain that God has called me and all of you to this ministry and that He will see us through it and that there is no need to be concerned with the small details; although they seem big to us, they’re a peace of cake to God. God has already gone before us and He will equip us. If we abide in Him, He abides in us and we do not need to do anything from our own strength or knowledge or capabilities, we do it through His. Knowing that brings me peace and encouragement. And Tina…wow, you are one awseome WWW instructor π I’m very greatful to God that you have chosen to accept this 3rd training, and happy for your future students, because they will grow from your classes. All of our students will grow nearer Tina, and so will each and every one of us. God bless all of you and your ministry!
Thank you for your kind words, Carole and Melinda! I’m so grateful that you are encouraged, because that is what the Lord does for me every single day. He encourages me that through Christ we really CAN do ALL things! Glory To God!!!
Thank you for cheering us on In the LORD!!! I so appreciate the confidence you walk in CHRIST and affirm in us! (Your giggles and sweet smiles make the learning and stretching so much more fun!)
Thank you also for bringing relief to me at the knowledge we can have cue cards to help us!
Gods peace and strength be with you!
Debbie
Thank you so much for the brief instructional videos! I find that I’m just as much if not more an auditory learner, so listening to the instructions (a lot!) has really helped. I find that committing to memory somewhat of a sequence of instructions/dialogue makes me feel more confident, for a smoother class. I’m really appreciating some of your repetitive phrasing such as “(tighten the glutes) to protect the lower back,” and “soften the knees.” Good reminders no matter where we are!
Another question: How do you feel about using imagery/imagination? For ex., during “The Dove” posture, instead of saying look up to the ceiling, “look into the heavens”? Or “imagine the open heavens and the Spirit of God descending like a dove…” I’m a writer/artist so I tend to think in pictures, but do you think this crosses a weird line?
Good question, Esse. Yes, that crosses a bit into the “creative visualization” realm. We really want them to focus and meditate on the Word (Rom. 12:1-2). I’m glad you asked – others I’m sure have wondered, too. Thanks for your question -we are grateful for you!
When you say “scripture sequence,” do you mean that I create a sequence of postures from a scripture of my choice, or one of the sequences from the DVD? (thanks for tolerating my myriad questions!)
Those are the Scripture Sequences (SS) you’ve seen on our DVDs, Esse (such as to the Lord’s Prayer or 23rd Psalm). When a CPI has an idea for an SS, they submit it to NolaJeanne or myself and we review it and work together with you on it in order to add it to the body of knowledge shared by all CPIs. There are certain formats we follow to keep things as uniform as possible, and love it when the Lord inspires us with new PraiseMoves postures to various scriptures, as well as Scripture Sequences!
Phew. Just glad to have clarity. THANK YOU!!!
In tears I hear your prayer as I sit before Session 4. Then as you begin the lesson I hear my spirit speaking to me that I am worthy and capable of accomplishing this task. God has not left me to wander through this valley, but He has given me a direction to follow. YOU Laurette and NolaJeanne are His chosen to instruct and encourage those who are on this journey together. I was struggling with preparing a WWW 2-3 minute workout on my own, feeling just feel inadequate to begin “teaching” a group. You answered my questions before I could ask them. Thank you. Blessings.
My burden this week. Thank you for the reminder of the promise our Father offers us.
Have you cast the whole of your care on the Lord today? (1 Peter 5:6-7) Itβs His job to care for you, not yours!
Thank You Laurette and team for your amazing encouragement through these first 2 weeks π
I must say though, that it is quite hard only choosing 5 postures. I love so many of them.
I have managed to narrow it down, but can I include the child’s posture without counting it as part of my 5?
Looking forward to this week – even though I have both my boys home for half term. I may just look like Nola Jeanne in the runners posture – but with a toddler instead of a cat on my back π
Have a great week everyone
Certainly, Keenan! The Child Posture is a great transition posture, as well as a wonderful rest between postures. Please use it along with it’s wonderful scripture quotation from the Lord in Mark 10:15 (one of my favorites, too)!
Tina Jackson’s WWW video was very good! She is such a cutie & I LOVE her and her husband’s accent; I could listen to them for hours. Thank you Laurette & Nolajeanne for another great teaching session! Now I guess I’ve got homework to do and a video to make. π
I met Tina at the PM Conference last year and she told me that her husband was a taxidermist. Being from the metropolitan area I am not used to seeing dead animals displayed. She got such a kick out of making me wince and moan when she talked about how many they had. Especially, the ones in the basement!
I fell in love with her spirit and was so glad that we ended up being roommates.
I am also glad that she did not give into the spirit of fear by allowing the enemy to stop her fitness ministry! As CPI’s we are always going to be under attack by the enemy because we are helping others to take better care of their temples & to also find strength in the word of God.
Thank you Laurette for sharing Tina’s wonderful WWW video.
I pray that all the CPI’s in this training will continue Laurette’s work by getting out into the Market Place & the Churches ASAP. Don’t wait! If you do, the enemy will step in and begin to create fear & doubt.
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba Father.” Romans 8:15
Wow, Kim – you are so “on” about coming against fear & doubt with ACTION, and standing on Romans 8:15 is perfect! Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m inspired!!!
I just read over these comments and was very encouraged to see how many others have struggled with overcoming the fear of man/failure as I know I have. I know God has called me to do this but it is an exercise of faith! God brought to mind the scripture in Revelation 12:11″They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” I know the “blood of the Lamb” is Jesus death for us but I have always wondered what “the word of their testimony” meant. I think it means being willing to be honest about our weakness and yet believing that we “can do all things through Christ who gives us strength”. I think “not loving our lives so much as to shrink from death” can mean not allowing fear to control us or stop us from being obedient to God. Hopefully we can be an encouragement to one another not to give up but to keep trusting God to work through us!
I know without a doubt that I am called to this ministry. I know my healing is attached to this sacrifice and I know that God will have his glory through me because I am not doing this in my own strength. It is good to know that I am connected to a network of believers that support and love one another as well as have a heart for the people of God. Laurette, because this ministry is so much bigger than you, and you have been obedient to God, there is a great reward awaiting you in heaven. I pray that God continues to enlarge your territory and bring tender hearts to this ministry. I thank God for directing me here.
I so appreciate all the comments because it feels like it’s me saying these things. I also feel so blessed for this opportunity to exercise my body while meditating God’s word and not only that but being able to teach others God’s word at the same time. I have been looking for over a year for a program that would help me do this. I never thought of a christian alternative to yoga – I didn’t know there was one but more like a christian exercise program with music that I could teach at church. I didn’t want to bring in secular music. It took almost a year before PM popped up and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I have been praying and took a leap of faith by signing up to become a CPI. The enemy has reared it’s head throughout this last month and I have been praying for God’s guidance on this, that I am doing the right thing. On Tuesday during prayer service, God spoke to me in ways I couldn’t believe and then the pastor used I Corinthians 6:20 I almost fell off my chair. I now know, because I know, because I know this is the right path for me and I am excited to get started. I have a vision of my first class and the excitement the students will feel, the expression on their faces when they realize they not only exercise their bodies but renew their minds and spirit with God’s word. I thank the Lord that he lead you, Laurette to develop Praise Moves and I thank you too for your gifts and talents that God has poured over you to do so. I also LOVE to see and hear Nola Jean do the postures – she is so cute and funny and does them all so effortlessly that I hope I one day can do the same. God Bless!!
It would not let me watch the second video or the video of WWW example π
Said “permission denied”
Tried again and it worked!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!! π
