Aquatics for Everyone!

TerriAquatics workouts can provide a safer way for many people to exercise, especially those with limited mobility, weight problems, joint pain, or other injuries that make weight bearing exercises difficult or impossible.

Exercising in water can increase fitness and muscle tone, but it’s also a good option for anyone recovering from an injury, or who is nervous about sustaining one, as well as for less fit folks who are looking for a gentle way to start an exercise program.

Healing Properties of WaterPraiseWaves cert2

In Ezekiel 47:7-9, this passage of Scripture describes the healing waters that flow from the sanctuary.

The healing properties of water facilitate a protective environment that reduces strain on the body, using the natural resistance of the water to strengthen and tone muscles, and the fluidity of the water assists in improving range of motion, flexibility, and relaxing, creative movement.

Water exercise is especially beneficial because overall body training and toning.

The buoyant properties of the water help to support the body, easing wear and tear on the joints.

In addition, Hydrostatic pressure in water provides compression on the body and capillaries, assisting in venous flow return, thus decreasing swelling and water retention. This compression provides natural relief to sites of injury by decreasing pain and providing added support.
