Willis Ministries International: Mission, Ministry and Goals

Our Mission: To equip and empower believers in spirit, soul and body to answer the call of Christ–by combining Faith AND Fitness.

Evangelist Laurette Willis outlines the mission, outreach and vision of this worldwide ministry–currently reaching hundreds of millions throughout the world on TV, radio and internet, as well as via DVDs, CDs, books and in person at live and virtual events.

Tools for believers and our evangelistic outreaches:

• Teachings resources on faith and fitness – downloadable online, CD & DVD
• 2 TV Shows: PraiseMoves Kids on TBN’s Smile of a Child TV (reaching 250 million) & CNL (reaching 125 countries in the Russian language) – as well as our PraiseMoves TV show for adults – combined, these shows reach an estimated 350 million souls. PraiseMoves Kids is the first faith and fitness show for children (An Invitation to receive Christ concludes each TV broadcast around the world.).
• Free resources online such as ChristianFitnessKit.com and ChristianMeditation.info
• Fitness for His Witness radio nuggets on the Oasis Radio Network—also interviews w/Christian influencers such as Stormie Omartian, Jentezen Franklin, Dr. Gary Smalley, John & Lisa Bevere, Dr. Caroline Leaf, Thelma Wells & others.
• PowerUP Conference – Faith & Fitness Events; in person and virtual events
• PraiseMoves National Conference and regional conferences throughout the U.S. and Canada
• PowerMoves Kids program – in public schools—the first Character Education program that incorporates Fitness—“Winning the War against Childhood Obesity with Character!” Entire curriculum for pre-K thru 8^th grades—Teaches Judeo-Christian values through teaching character education—endorsements. Also an alternative to yoga—doing stretches while reciting character-building quotes.

Ministry Goals:

• Build a new TV/internet broadcast studio and office for the ministry on our 40 acre property, the Prayer Farm, in northeastern Oklahoma.
• Translation of our DVDs into Russian and Spanish.
• Reach new audiences around the world with the message of Jesus Christ, Faith & Fitness.
• Tape a new PowerMoves Kids DVD Character education workout for public schools.
• Tape new PraiseMoves DVDs (including MIRA!–Christian Fitness with a Latin Beat!
• New certification program for MIRA! Instructors – a success!
• A variety of new faith and fitness programs to equip believers to be leaders in health and fitness so others will want to emulate them.

How you can partner with us (And WHY):

Since 2003, Willis Ministries has funded all of these outreaches through sales of PraiseMoves fitness products, Laurette’s speaking engagements and DoveTale Productions performances (Laurette’s original historical dramas and storytelling she presents at schools, museums and theaters).

What this has enabled us to do is build a solid foundation based on the Word of God without being dependent on outside contributions. We are now expanding to welcome others in our ministry efforts so we can offer more resources to believers and enable more children and adults to hear the Gospel around the world through a variety of media outlets.

Willis Ministries International Staff:

Our staff consists of 2 full-time (Laurette & Paul Willis) and one part-time paid staff (NolaJeanne Baird), as well as a number of volunteers who give of their time and prayers.

Paul (between the rainbows on the Prayer Farm, at right) disbanded his sign business of 20 years to work full-time alongside Laurette in 2008. This has also freed him up to devote more volunteer hours to the community as a Firefighter and EMT/First Responder, which he has done since the late 1990s.

The indispensable NolaJeanne Baird (below right) came on board with PraiseMoves Fitness Ministry in April 2005, and works part-time as Laurette’s Administrative Assistant and head of the shipping department for PraiseMoves.

Nola also generously volunteers her time for many PraiseMoves-related activities, such as encouraging and mentoring Certified PraiseMoves Instructors around the world, and being our #1 Prayer Warrior.

Several of our CPI Trainers in the US and Canada (MaryAnn Haslett,  Jennifer Scheidt, Barb Selfe and NolaJeanne Baird) hold Certifications for PraiseMoves Instructors and go out of their way to love and mentor our growing family of CPIs.
