Jamie Foxx said on the nationally televised 2012 Soul Train Music Awards: “First of all, give an honor to God and our lord and savior Barack Obama.” And then he stirred the crowd to praise (“Ya'll stand up now…!”).

Grieved!!! This is Comedy?
Political commentary? Misplaced worship strangely disguised as humor–is it? ALL believers should find something VERY wrong with this.
The First Commandment: “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me” (Exodus 20:3). Jesus said, “Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32-33).
Jamie, you grew up in church (New Hope Baptist in Terrell, TX). You know how powerful your words are — and that this is not funny or satirical.
Will believers rise up and demand an apology for this public degrading our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by (humorously?) lifting up a human in His place?
What embassy can we tear down? Oh, it would be our own.
I looked online to see if there was chatter about this anywhere. There isn't! No one seems to care (but if he insulted the Delta Smelt Fish, we'd be all up in arms, right?). All I saw was a hue and cry for Jamie to apologize to Miley Cyrus in 2009 (which he did on the Jay Leno Show in April 2009).
Sign this and let us rise up as believers in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ – and demand an apology. We do not want Jamie apologize to us! We insist he publicly apologize to God.
And why not? If Jamie Foxx can publicly apologize to Miley Cyrus, surely he can apologize to God, the Creator of the universe, who made him and gifted him with many talents.
From Jamie's website: “He was born Eric Bishop and raised by his grandparents in Terrell, Texas. It was his ‘Granny' who recognized his gift to perform and introduced him to the piano. By fifteen, he was serving as musical director and choir leader at Terrell’s New Hope Baptist Church. Not only was he a gifted musician, but also a star athlete at Terrell High school setting records in football and track. It was music that took this well-rounded young man to California when he received a classical piano scholarship to U.S. International University in San Diego.”
You can stand up and help make a difference. He will see this petition. Please sign at the SIGN PETITION link above.
